UTAH STATE UTAH VAULT VAULT Meagan Nelson 9.675 Gabriella Onodi 9.750 Katie Omann 9.550 Kristen Riffanacht 9.700 Rachel Ropelato 9.750 Gritt Hofmann 9.300 change Megan Tschida 9.750 Nicolle Ford 9.875 Rachael Mandy 9.750 Ashley Postell 9.900 Jackie Fogli 9.850 Annabeth Eberle 9.850 VT: 48.775; Running: 48.775 VT: 49.075; Running: 98.000
Gabriella Onodi's vault looked really nice except for a step on her dismount but the start value was raised as only a 9.90. Kristen Riffanacht was good in flight but leaned forward on her dismount (no step). Gritt Hofmann sat her landing. Nicolle Ford was perfect except for a little pinwheel action with her arms on the landing. I thought it was just choreography. Ashley Postell sick is still amazing. Great air, perfect flight, one half step back on her landing, which was almost at the end of the mat. Annabeth Eberle scored a 9.90 from one judge. I must not have had the same angle as judge two who saw it as a 9.80. A big vault like Ashley's and no step on the landing. By the way, Jessica Duke did a really nice vault in exhibition and got a 9.775.
BARS BARS Meagan Nelson 9.625 Dominique D'Oliveira 9.100 Katie Rutherford 9.600 Jessica Duke 9.725 Ashley Barr 9.600 Kristen Riffanacht 9.650 Alex Martin 9.725 Katie Kivisto 9.825 Megan Tschida 9.725 Annabeth Eberle 9.850 Rachel Ropelato 9.475 Nicolle Ford 9.875 UB: 48.275; Running: 97.050 UB: 48.925; Running: 48.925
Dominique D'Oliveira had trouble on her giant blind full and then didn't even come close to catching her Gienger. Jessica Duke did a really nice job in her first routine as a Ute. Very clean. Nice stick. I'm going to have trouble keeping up on commentary because my computer is running so slow. Kristen Riffanacht didn't have any major breaks, but several little mistakes. Katie Kivisto really swings the bars well. She had a tiny step backwards on her dismount. Annabeth Eberle's routine was a beauty. Her Tkatchev was gigantic. All I saw wrong was she didn't quite come to a full handstand after it. Great stick in the dismount. Nicolle Ford had an extremely clean routine with a little step on the landing.
BEAM BEAM Ashley Barr 9.600 Kristen Riffanacht 9.775 Katie Rutherford 9.650 Katie Kivisto 9.700 Alex Martin 9.450 Gabriella Onodi 9.850 Megan Tschida 9.775 Gritt Hofmann 9.900 Jackie Fogli 9.750 Nicolle Ford 9.950 Liesel Kohler 9.775 Annabeth Eberle 9.725 BB: 48.550; Running: 145.600 BB: 49.200; Running: 195.675
Kristen Riffanacht led off with a very solid, very clearn routine. Katie Kivisto had two big wobbles but recovered to do her trademark "Kvisito" exquisitely. Nice stick on the landing. Gabi's routine was just really nice. Everything was pointed and she hit all of her big stuff. Gritt Hofmann had one of her best beam routines I've seen. I'll be honest, I've dreaded the side salto since the days of Angie Leonard and I still do, but Gritty nailed it. Queenie Ford is ready for nationals if she keeps this up. Absolutely a gorgeous routine. Not even a wiggle on her flick flack layout layout. I am puzzled about AB's score. I must have missed a wobble or two but I thought I was watching very closely.
FLOOR FLOOR Alex Martin 9.750 Katie Kivisto 9.650 Rachel Ropelato 9.625 Kristen Riffanacht 9.750 Jackie Fogli 9.625 Gabriella Onodi 9.450 Ashley Barr 9.400 Nicolle Ford 9.850 Megan Tschida 9.850 Annabeth Eberle 9.150 Liesel Kohler 9.275 Gritt Hofmann 9.775 FX: 48.250; Running: 193.850 FX: 48.475; Running: 146.475
Katie Kivisto was not as clean as she was as exhibition last week, stumbling a bit coming out of her triple twist and nearly stepping out of bounds midway through her routine. Really nice routine by Riffy. She is going to keep moving down the lineu if she keeps that up. Lots of good clean tumbling. It looked to me like she might have upgraded already from last week, but don't hold me to that. Gabi really had her first pass going but skidded at the end and went out of bounds. She didn't fall so I don't know why she was scored so low. I think she must have missed an element. Nikki had a gorgeous routine. Big double pike and great stick opened the routine and she kept it up from there. AB got a little too much steam going on the first pass--flying out of bounds and falling on her pike double back. Gritty should be a ballerina after that routine. On her second double back, she landed on her toes but somehow didn't go down--just landed a little low. The rest of the routine was absolutely beautiful, so that's where her deductions must have been.
