VT: 48.625; Running: 48.625 VT: 49.025; Running: 98.150
Utah vault notes:
Gabriella Onodi again hits a nice vault. She did not quite stick
the landing, taking a small hop.
That was the best vault I have ever seen Gritt Hofmann do.
Great in flight, great amplitude, stuck landing. One judge
gave her a 9.85.
Nicolle Ford looked like her steps were off on the approach.
It looked like she didn't have much steam going into the
horse. She fell forward and barely had to touch her hands.
You really have to see Ashley Postell in person to believe
her. She is just incredibly smooth and powerful and her form
is perfect.
I am surprised at Rachel Tidd's score. I know the scores
are lower this year, but that was the best vault I have
seen tonight.
Annabeth Eberle had big amplitude and distance and of course
perfect form inflight. She couldn't quite hold a stick on
her landing for the deduction.

BARS BARS
Heather Justus 9.700 Kristen Riffanacht 9.025
Chelsea Plourde 9.700 Katie Kivisto 9.725
Heidi Goehring 9.125 Annabeth Eberle 9.800
Lindsay Nelson 9.750 Ashley Postell 9.850
Therese Videan 9.850 Rachel Tidd 9.900
Chrissy Lamun 9.750 Nicolle Ford 9.850
UB: 48.750; Running: 97.375 UB: 49.075; Running: 49.075
Utah bar notes:
It looked like Kristen Riffanacht had caught the bar on her
first big release, but she didn't and fell. She also had a step
under the bar on the landiing.
Katie Kivisto leaned a bit on one handstand but made a nice
recovery.
Annabeth Eberle's giant Tkatchev brought a gasp from the big
OSU crowd. Really nice routine.
Ashley Postell was so clean and so smooth. She really moved well
between the bars and her legs and toes were perfect.
She's back! Rachel Tidd was perfection in motion. Beautiful lines.
What a welcome back by Rach.
Nicolle Ford finished the set with another fine routine.
The only possible deduction I saw was she was maybe just a little
close to the bar on one of her release moves. She didn't
have quite as dead-on of a stick on the landing as Rachel,
but she didn't step or anything.

BEAM BEAM
Angela Morales 9.125 Natalie Nicoloff 9.625
Courtney Dennison 9.700 Kristen Riffanacht 9.775
Heidi Goehring 9.775 Gritt Hofmann 9.300
Daylee Ingalls 9.800 Nicolle Ford 9.825
Chrissy Lamun 9.825 Annabeth Eberle 9.775
Chelsea Plourde 9.775 Ashley Postell 9.875
BB: 48.875; Running: 146.250 BB: 48.975; Running: 195.95
Utah beam notes:
Natalie Nicoloff looked rusty after her week off from
competition with a cold, but she gutted it out and
stayed on with no huge breaks. She just had a lot of little
wobbles and did not have one of her better mounts.
Riffy was really sharp on this routine. She absolutely nailed
everything. Nothing shaky anywhere. Not her best landing.
Gritty Hofmann fell off the beam on her series. It looked
like she might be able to stay on, but I guess she couldn't.
Really nice routine by Nicolle Ford, who struggled tonight. She
took out her second flick lay, which was a good decision in
my opinion.
AB Eberle made a great save on her mount when her foot skidded.
She saved it really cleanly and the rest of her routine was sweet.
I simply cannot describe Ashley Postell, especially on beam. She
reminds me a lot of Missy Marlowe in terms of her looks and
mannerisms, not to mention her difficulty. She has just one cool
thing after another in her beam routine and she hit them all. I
thought she'd score even higher.

FLOOR FLOOR
Megan Devencenzi 8.825 Kristen Riffanacht 9.650
Heather Justus 9.725 Gabriella Onodi 9.800
Heidi Goehring 9.150 Nicolle Ford 9.575
Angela Morales 9.675 Ashley Postell 9.875
Chrissy Lamun 9.650 Annabeth Eberle 9.850
Therese Videan 9.800 Gritt Hofmann 9.750
FX: 48.000; Running: 194.250 FX: 48.925; Running: 147.075
Utah floor notes:
Riffy got back on track after a rough vault warmup and
a fall off bars with this routine. She added one of those
splats to it for artistic value and I thought it
looked really good. Her closing double back was
just a big cowboyed.
With former Ute All-American Megan Caudle looking on from
her front row seat, Gabriella Onodi did Caudle proud
with her old floor music. It was the best routine I've
seen Gabi do. She stuck every landing, hit every leap.
Queenie Ford had on her first pass, but
the remainder of the routine was a beauty. She was
short on her first pike double back and landed low.
Ashley Postell started off with an absolutely gigantic
layout triple twisst and just kept cruising from there.
I can't tell you the deduction.
AB caught major, major air under her opening pike double
back. She was dead on the entire routine. She did have a small
step on her final tumbling pass.
Gritty Hofmann was tagged for a small stumble (well covered)
out of a leap and on her final pass, double back, she
bounced out of it.
