VT: 48.40; Running: 48.40 VT: 49.175; Running: 98.050
Utah vault notes:
Jessica Duke had good amplitude and flight.
She bounced a little when she landed
on the matt, but she didn't take a
step or anything.
Nina Kim had a big vault
with great distance. She probably got
a deduction for the face she made when
she landed!
Nicolle Ford was a little weepy after her
bar routine, but she put on her Queen
face and hit a big vault.
Annie DiLuzio went for the rafters on
that vault. She was docked for a step
on her landing.
Kristina Baskett's vault was totally
solid except for very slight movement
on her landing.
Unfortunately, I missed Ashley's vault,
but SL Tribune reporter Lya Wodraska
said it was a beauty but for a little
step on her landing.
Sarah Shire had a fabulous vault in
exhibition, scoring a 9.875. Great
stick.

BARS BARS Carmelina Carabajal 9.625 Jessica Duke 9.775 Alexis Russell 9.725 Daria Bijak 9.725 Jade Beattie 9.725 Nina Kim 9.725 Stephanie Funk 9.800 Kristina Baskett 9.825 Andy Cornelius 9.775 Ashley Postell 9.825 Angela Walker 9.875 Nicolle Ford 9.325

UB:48.800; Running: 97.200 UB: 48.875; Running: 48.875
Utah bar notes:
Jessica Duke had a really nice, clean routine.
Handstands were good, big swings and a
nice stick on the landing.
Daria Bijak received a 9.8 from one judge but
just a 9.65 from the other. I'm not sure
where that big of a deduction came from
since the only real miscue she made was a step
on the dismount.
Nina Kim probably was deducted for a handstand
that wasn't completely straight and a lean
on her dismount (she did not step).
Kristina Baskett was really scored tight.
She flew through the routine and it looked
like a beauty.
Ditto on Ashley Postell. She was very smooth
and had a very small quarter of a step on
an otherwise aggressive dismount.
Nicolle Ford had trouble early in the routine
when she had a break on the top bar. Then
she stumbled almost to her knee on the
dismount.

BEAM BEAM Alexis Russell 9.675 Jessica Duke 9.675 Ashley Mutchler 9.675 Kristina Baskett 9.875 Carmelina Carabajal 9.700 Sarah Shire 9.800 Amanda Miles 9.700 Annie DiLuzio 9.625 Angela Walker 9.750 Nina Kim 9.275 Ashley Stanton 9.850 Ashley Postell 9.925

BB: 48.675; Running: 145.875 BB: 48.900; Running: 195.875
Utah beam notes:
Jessica Duke had two balance checks and was
hit for them.
I know I'm a big Ute, but I have to tell
you that Kristina Baskett's routine was
an absolute beauty and I have no idea how
someone saw .15 deduction.
Hel-lo Sarah Shire. Holy cow that was a cool
routine. She does this nifty series using
one arm instead of two, in front of a layout.
I liked this routine for a 9.90.
Annie DiLuzio does everything big and
aggressively -- even her balance checks. Very
impressive job of staying on board.
Nina Kim crashed on her mount. She looked low
and off to the side in flight and I could
tell she wouldn't be able to save it.
OK, that was vintage Ashley Postell. She didn't
have an eyelash out of place and absolutely
wowed this place.

FLOOR FLOOR Alexis Russell 9.625 Jessica Duke 9.650 Angela Walker 9.450 Katie Kivisto 9.825 Amanda Miles 9.150 Annie DiLuzio 9.775 Ashley Stanton 9.550 Nicolle Ford 9.075 Andy Cornelius 9.800 Kristina Baskett 9.775 Carmelina Carabajal 9.825 Ashley Postell 9.900

FX:48.250; Running: 194.125 FX: 48.925; Running: 146.975
Utah floor notes:
Jessie Duke had a nice floor routine. She hit
all of her tumbling and looked like she was
having fun on the dance. I have no idea why
her score was so low.
That is the best floor routine I've ever
seen from Katie Kivisto and she tied her
career high.
Annie had great amplitude and I wonder if
it almost hurt her score in a way, because
when she came down, she almost bounced up
off the mat.
Queenie is just having a time of it tonight.
She went into her front tuck really low
on her first pass and landed on her seat.
Kristina Baskett's front double pike was sky high
and she nailed it. The only thing I saw
wrong with the entire routine was a step
back on her final pass.
Ashley Postell just tore it up. She
just rocked that routine. Stuck everything,
great tumbling, beautiful dance.
In exhibition, Beth Rizzo was very impressive
and received a 9.775.
