1. Georgia 197.275
2. Utah 197.150
GEORGIA UTAH VAULT VAULT Megan Dowlen 9.875 Gabriella Onodi 9.700 Katie Heenan 9.925 Jessica Duke 9.900 Brittany Smith 9.850 Nicolle Ford 9.825 Michelle Emmons 9.925 Ashley Postell 9.875 Kelsey Ericksen 9.825 Rachel Tidd 9.800 Ashley Kupets 9.900 Annabeth Eberle 9.900 VT:49.475; Running:49.475 VT: 49.300; Running: 98.275 Utah vault notes: Gabriella Onodi had slightly split legs, but everything else looked good. Jessica Duke absolutely drilled that vault. She had big amplitude and stuck it like glue. Nicolle Ford had a very slow approach, which hurt her in terms of height. She stuck the landing great. Ashley Postell had a picture perfect vault with just a breath of a step. All I saw on Rachel Tidd's vault was she landed kind of to the side of the vault. Her flight was good. Annabeth Eberle was right on. Big amplitude, nice landing, just about perfect to me. This was the best vault by either team all night.
BARS BARS Audrey Bowers 9.050 Katie Kivisto 9.725 Nikki Childs 9.775 Dominique D'Oliveira 9.175 Megan Dowlen 9.825 Annabeth Eberle 9.825 Katie Heenan 9.825 Ashley Postell 9.675 Kelsey Ericksen 9.925 Nicolle Ford 9.825 Ashley Kupets 9.850 Rachel Tidd 9.925 UB: 49.200; Running: 98.675 UB: 48.975; Running: 48.975 Utah bar notes: Katie Kivisto nearly missed the bar on her mount, but didn't let it affect her. Except for one kind of slow turn on the top bar, she managed a really nice routine. Dominique D'Oliveira went down early on handstand on the top bar. Annabeth Eberle got the crowd going with her big release. She paused a bit to catch her breath one time, but then nailed her landing. Ashley Postell had a beautiful routine going, but took two and a half steps back on her landing. Nicolle Ford had a nice routine start to finish. I didn't see much in the way of deductions. This was a beauty by Rachel Tidd. She hit everything, every handstand was good, her flow was smooth and her landing a big stick.
BEAM BEAM Kelsey Ericksen 9.275 Gabriella Onodi 9.825 Megan Dowlen 9.775 Kristen Riffanacht 9.850 Brittany Smith 9.900 Rachel Tidd 9.875 Nikki Childs 9.925 Nicolle Ford 9.925 Ashley Kupets 9.750 Annabeth Eberle 9.950 Katie Heenan 9.675 Ashley Postell 9.950 BB: 49.025; Running: 147.700 BB: 49.150; Running: 197.150 Utah beam notes: Gabi Onodi was really confident and on track from start to finish. I get scared of the punch front, but she really went for it. Kristen Riffanacht was also right on from start to finish. No balance checks, etc. Rachel Tidd was as aggressive as I've seen her in the past few meets. Nicolle Queenie Ford was a queen with an attitude tonight. She did her full layout series and was totally in control. She stuck her landing dead--best of the year for her. Annabeth Eberle finished a fantastic night with a career-tying 9.95 and deserved every tenth. Ashley Postell could have won another World Championship with this routine.
FLOOR FLOOR Nikki Childs 9.850 Gabriella Onodi 9.725 Megan Dowlen 9.850 Rachel Tidd 9.825 Brittaqny Smith 9.925 Ashley Postell 9.900 Nikki Childs 9.925 Annabeth Eberle 9.900 Ashley Kupets 9.950 Gritt Hofmann 9.850 Katie Heenan 9.925 Nicolle Ford 9.850 FX: 49.575; Running: 197.275 FX: 49.325; Running: 147.600 Utah floor notes: Gabriella Onodi seemed to be a bit ahead of her music on the first pass, but hit it. She was kind of low her her layout, layout on the final pass, but also hit that. I think she was counted down for general impression. Rachel Tidd really looked good. She had a little skid coming out of her last pass. Everything else was on the money. OK, Ashley Postell's routine was just amazing. I have no clue how one judge found it to be a 9.85. I don't even know what to say. Annabeth Eberle also had a great routine. Her tumbling was gigantic and right on target. Her dance and leaps were clean and impressive. At least to me. Gritt Hofmann didn't open with her full-in, going with the double pike instead. I'm assuming it's because of her bad wrist. She really sold the routine. Nicolle Ford was pushed down to last in the lineup because she was inserting some big upgrade. Unfortunately, I don't know what it was so I don't know if she did it, but her routine was very well done.
