VT: 49.200; Running: 49.200 VT: 49.350; Running: 98.600

Utah vault notes: A heavily bandaged Gritt Hofmann looked really good in the air, but couldn't contain her landing and stepped out of it. Kylee Wagner had by far her best vault of the year. Veronique Leclerc absolutely stuck that vault. Maybe she was close the horse. I can't guess why else she was deducted. Kristen Riffanacht could have bailed on her dismount after a nice vault, but she only tilted to the side a bit and stood it up without a step. Nothing wrong with Melissa Vituj's vault that I could see. Annabeth Eberle's vault was astonishing and got a 10.0 from one judge before settling for her second career 9.975.

UB: 49.450; Running: 98.625 UB: 49.250; Running: 49.250

Utah bar notes: Kristen Riffanacht opened things up with a nice routine and stick. Dominique D'Oliveira looked good throughout, with just a small step forward on her dismount. Annabeth Eberle was fine on the bars and saved her dismount after landing almost going to a squat. Melissa Vituj turned in one of her best bar routines ever and totally stuck the dismount. Veronique Leclerc came really close to the bar on one of her release moves but made it up to her handstand. She hit her dismount big. Kim Allan did a beautiful balancing act on the low bar and nailed her dismount.

BEAM BEAM
Orley Szmuch 9.900 Natalie Nicoloff 9.850
Lindsey Miner 9.950 Veronique Leclerc 8.800
Erinn Dooley 9.850 Gritt Hofmann 9.375
Jenny Carow 9.875 Annabeth Eberle 9.950
Kristen Stucky 9.850 Melissa Vituj 9.875

BB: 49.425; Running: 148.050 BB: 48.975; Running: 196.150

Utah beam notes: Natalie Nicoloff tied her career-high with a nice, steady routine. Veronique Leclerc was put into replace Kylee Wagner and fell on her flight series, then fell again later. Gritt Hofmann also tumbled off the beam on her flight series. Annabeth Eberle showed no nerves and was just magnificent in getting a career-best score. Melissa Vituj was tagged for just a couple of tiny bobbles in an otherwise solid routine. Broken finger? What broken finger? Theresa Kulikowski is her usual great self.

FLOOR FLOOR

FX: 49.075; Running: 197.125 FX: 48.575; Running: 147.175

Utah floor notes: The team is standing and blocking my view so I can only see bits and pieces. I did see Kylee Wagner go wrong on her fourth pass and she had to run backwards to stay up. Veronique Leclerc stepped out of bounds on her pike double back and had another little step on the next pass. Utah's problems continued with Kristen Riffanacht, who fell after starting well. Gritt Hofmann had the whole crowd with her and looked great except for stepping out of bounds on her second double back. Annabeth Eberle had a great routine and I managed to actually see most of it. She hit every major move and her dance was great. Melissa Vituj did her routine about as well as I've seen.
